About the Festival of Work

The CIPD’s Festival of Work is a large-scale conference and exhibition that will launch on the 12-13 June 2019 and will be hosted within the Grand Hall at Olympia London (UK). It is hosted by the CIPD in partnership with Haymarket Business Media and is anticipating 7,000 visitors in it’s first year.

The event will see the co-location of two existing CIPD events into the larger Festival of Work: the Learning & Development Show and the HR Software and Recruitment Show.

The premise for the event is that the world of work is being disrupted by technology and innovation, that automation and AI are increasingly being deployed at work, and that as a result the role of the human at work will change. The Festival of Work will celebrate the human future of work and seek to answer these questions:

  • how we lead organisations and motivate people in a technology disrupted world?
  • how we use technology and digital innovation as a catalyst to benefit both people and organisations?
  • how do we equip our workforce with the skills and capabilities to succeed in the future of work?
