Rick is a seasoned HR leader with extensive experience in strategic partnering, coaching, and team transformation within global brands.

Rick is new to the Healthcare industry and since joining HCA Healthcare UK as Chief Human Resources Manager for London Bridge and The Lister Hospitals, Rick has immersed himself in the healthcare environment. In his first three months, he worked alongside facility teams - shadowing ward nurses and even taking shifts in the kitchen - to gain firsthand experience of the exceptional five-star service delivered daily to patients. This type of engagement was instrumental in shaping a targeted HR strategy, identifying where his team could make the greatest impact on colleague experience and business growth. 21 months in, this approach has proven pivotal in driving excellent improvements in colleague engagement and overall colleague experience.

Before transitioning to healthcare, Rick played a key role in business growth and cultural transformation at Yum Brands, specifically KFC UKI. Over 11 years, he led teams across Recruitment, Talent Transformation, Learning & Development, HR Operations, and Franchise Consultancy. His contributions earned him the KFC UKI People & Culture Transformation Award in 2020, and in his final role as Head of People, he led his team to win the coveted KFC UKI Team of the Year Award.

Rick’s career also includes notable contributions at M&S where it was as an Operations and Finance leader he developed his strong passion for leading, coaching and developing teams and fostering an exceptional colleague experience to drive business growth.
