Graeme Burns

Graeme spent four years leading AI people strategy at Nationwide Building Society, shaping governance, sitting on their AI Council and reviewing use cases for responsible implementation. This included participation in the CIPD and Institute for the Future of Work research on AI’s impact on job design, published this year.

With 25 years of HR and change management experience in financial services, he brings practical insight into what responsible AI adoption actually looks like from the inside and what it means for organisations and their people.

Since leaving Nationwide, Graeme has founded Mavai Ltd, an independent advisory practice focused on Responsible AI and the future of work, and is an AI implementation advisor to AI West, working to connect industry, universities and government around responsible AI adoption across the Bristol and West of England region.
