Dr Shriti Pattani OBE

National Clinical Expert, Occupational Health & Wellbeing, NHSE

Dr Shriti Pattani OBE is a Consultant in Occupational Medicine and the National Clinical Expert in Occupational Health and Workforce Wellbeing for NHS England. She also advises the World Health Organization and works internationally with the Global team at NHS England on Workplace Wellbeing and Safety.

Shriti supports public and private sector organisations and wider systems to address workforce health challenges through strategic, prevention‑focused people approaches, with a particular focus on long‑term conditions, mental health, sickness absence and sustainable workforce participation. She works closely with HR teams, senior leaders and managers to develop clear HR–OH operating models, embedding early intervention, defined referral pathways and effective use of specialist expertise within people strategy.

Her work helps organisations improve manager confidence, decision‑making, attendance, retention and workforce performance, while reducing avoidable absence and operational risk. Shriti is a Board Director of the Council for Work and Health and a Trustee of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine, and she regularly contributes to national discussions on workforce sustainability and job design.
