Captain Mike Young MBE

Leadership Assessment Advisor, Royal Navy

Mike currently combines a Research Fellowship at the University of Oxford with the delivery of a Leadership Assessment and Development programme for the Royal Navy. In parallel, he runs a boutique consultancy specialising in supporting leaders through complex change.

Mike has led and advised on numerous large-scale organisational transformations across the private, public, and third sectors in the UK and internationally. His recent work includes improving one of the UK’s largest recruitment operations, and leading leadership development and culture change initiatives across Zambia. He previously spent four years as the Royal Navy’s Head of Leadership and Management Development, where he developed the model underpinning its leadership selection and training.
