David Bone

David Bone is the Chair of the Employment Advisory Board at HMP Brixton and Director of Learning & Development at The Inside Academy, which delivers accredited business enterprise and employability programmes in prisons across the UK. A former prisoner himself, David draws on lived experience of the justice system to design education that bridges the gap between custody and community, supporting prison leavers to build viable careers — whether through employment or entrepreneurship. He works closely with employers, prisons and policy leaders to create real second chances and sustainable pathways beyond the gate.
