Originally an engineer by training and education, Justin discovered a passion for developing others whilst teaching colleagues how to use new continuous improvement tools and techniques. Initially focussed on leadership and management, designing, developing, and delivering development programmes across the leadership population and high potential talent.
Justin believes that experiential learning is fundamental for building and retaining skills. Coaching is a key element of his delivery, and he was integral in the adoption of virtual reality as a training tool within Severn Trent, utilising techniques like embodiment to enhance the training environment.
More recently his emphasis has moved to the use of higher-level apprenticeships for ongoing development of employees, member of trailblazing groups and working with professional bodies on membership routes and CPD.
A personal value is to help others, and this has been borne out through delivering free employability training to the community and volunteering as a sight guide for disability charities.
