Matthew is an experienced recruitment leader with a background in consumer goods and finance.
The early days of Matthew’s career saw him move from the UK to Switzerland with Goldman Sachs, before joining EY’s Human Capital Consulting business. At EY, Matthew advised global financial institutions and consumer goods giants on talent mobility and reward strategies, quickly developing a skill for using HR strategies to generate business results and forming a view of HR as central to an organisation’s success.
After several very corporate years at EY, Matthew joined the more glamorous world of cosmetics at L’Oréal where he led Talent Acquisition in Switzerland. During his time at L’Oréal, Matthew led a turnaround of L’Oréal’s graduate offering and worked intensively on developing and launching L’Oréal’s employer brand.
Matthew then joined the mobile technology and membership organisation GSMA where he led global recruitment. Matthew led GSMA’s global talent acquisition strategy and helped scale the organisation through a period of international growth in Asia, Africa, Europe and South America.
Matthew has recently returned to his love of consumer goods, joining Danone this year where he manages internal and external talent for Danone’s Sales & Marketing population.
Matthew is a keen badminton player and unashamed golfaholic – you can find him toiling away on the golf course most weekends! Off the course, Matthew currently spends the rest of his free time renovating his new house in London with his partner.
