Chief Executive Officer, Scotland's International Development Alliance
Frances Guy is currently CEO of Scotland’s International Development Alliance, a network of members based in Scotland working on global sustainable development. The Alliance has taken part in the Global 4 Day week pilot since June 2022. Prior to taking up that role in August 2021, Frances worked with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) regional office in the Arab states for Christian Aid between 2014 – 2017 and as representative for UN Women in Iraq from May 2012 to December 2014. Between 1985 and 2012 she worked in the British Foreign Service. She was Ambassador to Yemen from 2001–04, head of the FCO’s Engaging the Islamic World group from 2004–06, and Ambassador to Lebanon from 2006–11.
