Eddie Fletcher

Eddie Fletcher is the Head of Social Mobility for the Ministry of Justice.  He has been a Civil Servant for over 25 years, working mainly in L&D roles and has been working in the social mobility arena for almost 7 years.  Eddie leads a small team that has developed a cross government approach to supporting those from less privileged backgrounds to build confidence, aspiration and support progression, helping them to ‘get in’ and ‘get on’ in the Civil Service.  The team have built a targeted outreach programme that has engaged with over 90;000 students across the UK as well as providing mentoring opportunities for graduates from less privileged backgrounds through its Graduate Aspiration Programme.   The Catapult Mentoring and Sponsorship Programme has over 10,000 participants from across the Civil Service, harnessing the knowledge and skills of senior leaders to support staff from less privileged backgrounds to achieve their potential.
